The Tunnel Of Love
The Tunnel of Love in Klevan, Ukraine, is a train tunnel cut out from a very thick forest. The tunnel is about 3 miles long and the surrounding area is nowhere near as nice… it’s very industrial. Lovers take romantic walks in the tunnel.
The beaches of Vaadhoo island in the Maldives will give anyone a pause. That’s because they’re bioluminescent. The glowing is caused by phytoplankton in the waves when they’re exposed to oxygen.
Walk On Water
When you visit Bolivia, you don’t need to be Jesus to walk on water! Just go visit the largest salt lake in the world, Salar De Uyuni, while you’re in the South American country. It’s really an exceptionally-even salt flat with brine water.
Land Of Wine
France is known as being the producer of some of the best wines in the world and the reason for that is a wine-making tradition dating back over 1,000 years. The Bordeaux vineyard you see here is in an area of the country that has made wine since at least the 8th century.

Ice Skating Lake
Lake Baikal in Russia (just north of Mongolia) is a huge lake that freezes over for about 5 months a year. The lake is so big, some Russians call it a sea. While the lake is frozen, it’s perfect for ice skating!
The Northern Lights
Most people have at least heard of the northern lights, known as the Aurora Borealis, but they really have to be seen to be appreciated. There are also southern lights in the southern hemisphere, the Aurora Australis.
Since climate change is going to melt it all in the span of a few centuries (or maybe quicker depending on who you ask), you might want to go check out the millions of years old glaciers of Antarctica! They are amazing and definitely worth a trip!
There are several formations in the Coyote Buttes of Southern Utah and Northern Arizona that are eroded in such a way as to look like waves. Purchase of a special hiking permit is required to visit the area which is also home to a variety of dinosaur tracks.
The Holi Festival
The Hindu spring festival of colors, called the Holi Festival, is a celebration that takes place around the turn of spring. As you can see, colors are prominently featured. The festival has caught on in other parts of the world but originates in India and Nepal.

When the blacksmiths of Hebei Province in China wanted to compete in fireworks displays, they had to get creative. Since then, this is the type of display they bring to the annual competition!
Dean’s Blue Hole
Dean’s Blue Hole in the Bahamas is the world’s second largest salt water filled sinkhole. If you go diving inside, you’ll come across an entirely different world… provided you’re not terrified of diving to the bottom which is about 663 feet deep!
